DEPARTMENT OF ZOOLOGY This department is established in 1st August, 1992 with strength of forty students’ in Undergraduate class. In year 2013, department started Post-Graduation in Zoology with fourteen students. And since the beginning of this department, faculties are striving to improve all aspects of academic excellence in favors of and for the benefit of Institution, public and students. The department has been working on various aspect of research. However under the guidance of faculties some students are awarded M.Phil. and Ph.D., and some students are still working for Ph.D. degree. The department has established the laboratory named “Division of Toxicology and Biomonitoring” in year 2008 and faculties are working on some aspects of toxicology and enzyme kinetics.

The faculties have published many research articles in National and International journals, some with high impact factor. Faculties attended many Orientations and refresher courses, National conferences, seminars, symposiums and workshops and also read the papers in it. Faculty is also working as an editorial board member, advisory member of some reputed e-journals and also a reviewer of impacted journals like Indian Journal of Fisheries, Fishery Technology and Aquatic Toxicology etc.
